The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (ICASL) oversees the accountancy profession in Sierra Leone and works to ensure and maintain the highest quality of accounting and audit practice in Sierra Leone. 

It was established by an act of parliament in 1988 to promote and regulate the accountancy profession and to ensure integrity, objectivity, independence, confidentiality and professionalism in the practice of the profession in Sierra Leone.

A new strategy was devised following a process that began in 2016. The strategy document is available
